- The American Heart Association CPR, AED, and First Aid course is designed to provide skills and knowledge to manage the first 10 minutes of an emergency. Topics such as choking, seizures, injuries and bleeding will be covered. This course is ideal for caregivers, parents, and anyone wanting to learn CPR and First Aid. - This course teaches the importance of providing high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children and infants, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and giving basic first aid as needed for selected medical emergencies The CPR portion of this course is not intended for healthcare providers or students in a healthcare program.
- AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED classes are designed for anyone that needs to be certified in CPR for work and/or if you want to learn lifesaving skills for personal interest.
- Initial courses available for first time learners; Renewal courses available for students renewing their certification.
- If you are a security guard, fitness trainer, teacher, coach, babysitter or anyone that is not working in the healthcare field, this is the recommended CPR course for you.
- This class does NOT include first-aid certification.
- This course is not designed for healthcare providers or students enrolled in a healthcare related program.
- A two-year AHA certification card is awarded after successful completion
An optional First Aid course can be added to any CPR/AED course as needed. This course is designed to provide skills and knowledge to manage the first 10 minutes of an emergency. Topics include, but are not limited to, choking, seizures, low blood sugar, chest pain, injuries and bleeding. Environmental emergencies, includes insect bites, snake bites and heat exhaustion can also be added as needed. ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Initial
The initial ACLS Provider Instructor-Led course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to manage the first ten minutes of an adult cardiac arrest. ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Provider’s skills; emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. (Before class, complete the REQUIRED online pretest self-assessment, a link and course code are provided in your registration confirmation email.)
