CPR/AED (Optional First Aid Training) : 

The AHA Heartsaver (CPR/AED) course teaches the importance of providing high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children and infants using the automated external defibrillator (AED). This course is ideal for caregivers, parents, and anyone wanting to learn CPR and optional First Aid, (Note: Teachers/babysitters please contact our office for a similar course meant specifically for your profession).

The optional First Aid Course is designed to provide skills and knowledge to manage the first 10 minutes of an emergency. Topics such as chest pain, stroke,  choking, seizures, injuries and bleeding will be covered.  Environmental emergencies such as insect/snake bites and heat/cold injuries can be included as needed. This course is ideal for caregivers, parents, and anyone wanting to learn CPR and First Aid.

Initial courses are available for first time learners; Renewal courses available for students renewing their certification(renewal required every two years).

Participants will receive a Heartsaver/AED or Heartsaver/AED/First Aid two year completion card within 48 hours of successful completion.

Unable to attend a live class? You have the option of completing the AHA Courses online and scheduling a live skills check off session to receive your card. Please select this link to purchase the AHA Heartsaver/AED or Heartsaver/AED/First Aid course; fee paid directly to AHA.

Note: The CPR portion of this course is not intended for healthcare providers or students in a healthcare program; AHA BLS is the required course for healthcare providers.

Heartsaver CPR/AED classes are designed for anyone that needs to be certified in CPR for work and/or if you want to learn lifesaving skills for personal interest.

If you are a security guard, fitness trainer, teacher, coach, babysitter or anyone that is not working in the healthcare field, this is the recommended CPR course for you.

  • Information regarding choking
  • Use of an AED
  • Adult, Child and Infant CPR

IF YOU WORK IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD OR IF YOU ARE A STUDENT IN A HEALTH SCIENCE OR HEALTHCARE PROGRAM SUCH AS NURSING, EMT, PMD, ETC., YOU SHOULD REGISTER FOR A BLS/CPR , NOT THE CPR/AED COURSE.

This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver CPR AED class combines the convenience of an on-online CPR course completed at your convenience with an instructor-led CPR skills session.

The Online CPR certification Course cover topics such as high-performance adult, child and infant CPR techniques, use of an AED, and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. After completing the online course, purchase the skill session to complete your training and receive your official AHA completion card.

CPR class participants will earn an AHA Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card valid for 2-years upon successful completion of the ONLINE course combined with the instructor-led skill session.

Online Course Length: 1-1.5 Hours Online
Skill Session: 30-45 Minute Skills Session

A copy of your HeartCode® ONLINE CPR Certificate of Completion is Required to attend the skills session.

Closing Location


We regret to inform you that effective December 31, 2024, we will be permanently closing the physical location of our Longwood AHA training site. Thankfully, our experienced instructors will remain available to offer all courses live at your offsite location for groups of three (3) or more students per class. Please follow the instructions provided under “classes” on the toolbar to request a class, and we will work tirelessly to accommodate your request. We are also happy to offer ENA (TNCC/ENPC), and basic EKG courses both virtually or live at your offsite location for groups of three (3) or more as well.
