TNCC COURSE ( Trauma Nursing Core Course )

  • The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a one and a half day course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient.
  • The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care.
  • Verification of successful course completion is based on passing the written exam and the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) psychomotor skills station. Verification is valid for four years.
  • This 8th edition TNCC provider course has been approved for 18.3 contact hours for RNs.
  • Pre-requisites
  • Participants must be an RN and possess a current unrestricted nursing license to receive verification.
  • **Pre-registration is required – Participant seats are limited based on instructor-to-student ratios. Seats will be assigned to paid registrants in the order registration fees and materials are received.
  • Pre-course modules MUST be completed in advance; failure to complete will result in inability to attend class.

TNCC – Trauma Nurse Core Course

The Emergency Nurses Association Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) is a 14.2 hour course designed to provide the learner with cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills. Content is presented through lectures and hands-on skills stations.

  • Rapid identification of life-threatening injuries
  • Comprehensive patient assessment
  • Enhanced intervention for better patient outcomes
  • A Systematic Approach of Initial Assessment
  • Hands-on Training Using both an Individual and Team Approach

This course is designed for Registered Nurses, although other healthcare providers may also attend as observers.

Course fee: $325.00 (Additional required fees: ENA student fee $75.00 and student text book $70.00)

The Virtual Fast Track Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a 5.5 hour renewal course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient.

The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care.

Verification of successful course completion is based on passing the written exam and the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) psychomotor skills station. Verification is valid for four years.

This 8th edition Fast Track TNCC provider course has been approved for 10.75 contact hours for RNs.

  • Participants must be an RN and possess a current unrestricted nursing license to receive verification.

We regret to inform you that effective December 31, 2024, we will be permanently closing the physical location of our Longwood AHA training site. Thankfully, our experienced instructors will remain available to offer all courses live at your offsite location for groups of three (3) or more students per class. Please follow the instructions provided under “classes” on the toolbar to request a class, and we will work tirelessly to accommodate your request. We are also happy to offer ENA (TNCC/ENPC), and basic EKG courses both virtually or live at your offsite location for groups of three (3) or more as well.
